Choosing Your Colour

Amber & Gold

Amber and gold colour filters recreate the warmth of sunrise, sunset and candlelight. Among the most popular choices for film and television, they add warmth, depth and a natural cinematic feel.

Blue

Blue colour filters create moonlight, cool daylight and atmospheric night scenes. They're widely used across photography, film and broadcast production.

Red

Red colour filters create drama, energy and intensity. Popular in theatre, live events and cyclorama lighting, they range from bold stage reds to softer rose tones that flatter portraits and broadcast lighting.

Lavender

Lavender colour filters create soft, cool atmospheres ideal for twilight scenes, romantic settings and subtle mood lighting. They gently cool white light without introducing an overpowering colour shift.

Green

Green colour filters can create clinical, eerie or natural-looking environments depending on the shade. Strong greens are frequently used for theatrical productions, while softer yellow-green tones recreate natural daylight in studio environments.

Orange

Orange colour filters sit between red and amber, adding warmth and vibrancy. They're ideal for recreating firelight, golden-hour sunlight and energetic stage lighting.

Pink

Pink colour filters soften and flatter subjects, making them a popular choice for portrait photography, beauty lighting and broadcast work. Richer magentas create striking theatrical and live event effects.

Brown & Straw

Brown and straw colour filters provide subtle warming without dramatically changing the character of the light. They're perfect for gently softening cool white light in photography and filmmaking.

Yellow

Yellow colour filters add brightness, warmth and optimism to a scene. They're frequently used to recreate sunlight in controlled environments and create bold theatrical lighting.

Purple & Violet

Purple and violet colour filters introduce atmosphere, depth and visual drama. Popular in theatre, concerts and live events, they're equally effective for fantasy, night-time and stylised scenes in film and television.
